Episode 12 of MGM, Mr. Joe Thrasher talks about how he began his Gospel Music career at the tender age of 7 when Joe’s mother convinced Joe and brothers Buddy and Jim to sing a song in 3 part harmony for their church…….and the rest is history. Joe, Buddy and Jim soon formed The Thrasher Brothers and began a life long career singing and sharing the Gospel around America. In the ‘80s, the group took a short trip into Country Music, never loosing the music that first defined the Group and soon thereafter returned to their First Love. Not only are the Brothers great singers but great businessmen as well. They formed the Thrasher Brothers Coach Company which continues to this day. Joe has worked in the Alabama and Tennessee State Governments and today is a successful consultant for State Departments of Transportation. Joe has also been a very important part of The Homeland Quartet, carrying the tenor part and singing with Ben Speer, Bill Traylor and Jerry Sowards for 25 years.
